Terms of sale
1. Who's selling, and what
These terms apply to purchases of the Duo Report on allyordie.com. The seller is YOLO, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €50,101, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 939 905 758, with its registered office in Paris, France. EU VAT number: FR36939905758. Contact: hello@allyordie.com.
They apply to both individuals and businesses, with specific rules spelled out where relevant. Placing an order means you accept these terms as published on the day of your order. This English version is provided for convenience; the French version prevails in case of discrepancy.
2. The service
The Duo Report cross-matches two cofounders' profiles. You each fill out your own questionnaire, then you both get a shared report: your profiles, where things are likely to grind between you, ways to defuse it, and a personal Read Me you reveal to each other at the same time.
The report is only produced once both cofounders have completed their questionnaire. The person who creates the Duo, and pays for it, invites their cofounder. Access works through personal links sent by email, no account needed.
3. Price
The Duo Report costs €129, including 20% French VAT. During the launch period, a discount is applied automatically and the price you pay is €99. It's a one-time payment that covers both cofounders: no subscription, no renewal.
The price that applies is the one shown when you order. Depending on where you are, the checkout page may show the amount converted into your local currency: that's the amount you'll be charged. For businesses based in another EU country with a valid VAT number, VAT is reverse-charged and the price is invoiced excluding VAT.
4. Ordering and payment
You order from the Duo creation page. Payment is made online by card or digital wallet through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see your card details.
Your order is final once the payment goes through. You then get a confirmation email with your personal link, plus a receipt and an invoice.
5. Delivery
Your questionnaire opens right after payment. The invite goes out to your cofounder as soon as you've finished yours. The report is available as soon as you've both answered.
6. Right of withdrawal
If you're a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. This right doesn't apply to digital content delivered without a physical medium once delivery has started with your express consent and you've acknowledged losing that right (article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code).
Before paying, you expressly ask for the service to start right away and waive your right of withdrawal by checking the box provided. This is confirmed in your order confirmation email.
7. Guarantee: refunded if your cofounder doesn't respond
If your cofounder hasn't completed their questionnaire within 30 days of your payment, we'll refund you in full, to your original payment method, without you having to ask. The refund is issued within 14 days after that 30-day period ends.
Once the report has been produced, it's no longer refundable, even if one of you withdraws it afterward.
8. What the report is, and what it isn't
The Duo Report is a conversation tool for cofounders, built on research into founders, teams and couples, and on Ally or Die's field experience (see our methodology). It isn't a validated psychometric instrument, a psychological assessment, or legal, financial or partnership advice. The decisions you make based on it are yours.
The results depend on the answers you give. We can't be held liable for inaccurate or incomplete answers, or for how you use the report. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
9. Availability and withdrawing the report
We do our best to keep the service available at all times, but can't guarantee it during maintenance or a provider outage. Either cofounder can withdraw the report at any time: it then stops being visible to both of you.
10. Personal data and intellectual property
How we handle your data is detailed in our privacy policy. The report is for your personal use and your company's. The questionnaires, the method and the report's content remain YOLO's property and may not be reproduced or resold.
11. Business customers
For purchases made by a business, the right of withdrawal doesn't apply; the guarantee in section 7 still does. Payment is due immediately, with no early-payment discount. Late payments incur penalties at three times the French legal interest rate, plus a flat €40 recovery fee.
12. Complaints and mediation
For any question or complaint, write to us at hello@allyordie.com: we reply within 7 business days. If you're a consumer and our answer doesn't settle it, you can turn, free of charge, to the following consumer mediator: CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice), 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France, www.cm2c.net, which you can contact once you've first sent us a written complaint that wasn't resolved.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence. Disputes with consumers go to the courts designated by law; disputes with businesses go to the courts of Paris, France.
