Who is responsible for your data
Ally or Die is a service published by YOLO, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 939 905 758, with its registered office in Paris, France. YOLO is the data controller. Because Ally or Die is operated from France, your data is protected by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), wherever you live.

The data we collect
- When you take the Mirror test: your answers to the questions, and your email address if you ask to receive your full report.
- When you fill out the “Where's your partnership at?” form: your email address and the stage you chose.
- When you create or join a Duo Report: both your first names, both your email addresses, your answers to the Duo questionnaire and, if you write one, the note attached to the invitation. The invitee's email is only used to send them the invitation, a possible reminder and the link to your report.
- When you write to us: your email address and the content of your message.
We don't ask for your last name or your company. The Duo Report is only visible to the two of you, through your personal links, and only once you've both consented and answered. Either of you can withdraw it at any time from the report, and it then becomes invisible to both of you.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- Calculating your profile and sending you your report, or cross-matching your two profiles for the Duo Report: performance of the service you requested.
- Letting you know when our next tools come out, and sending you our articles if you opted in: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Improving the test and deciding on the next tools, based on aggregated and anonymized statistics: our legitimate interest in improving the service.
We don't sell your data, we don't rent it out, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for 3 years from your last contact with us, then deleted. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner, at any time.
Who has access to it
Only the Ally or Die team has access to your data. To run the service, we rely on technical service providers who process it solely on our behalf. A list of these providers is available on request at hello@allyordie.com.
Cookies
The site doesn't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Only cookies strictly necessary for the site to work may be set.
Your rights
At any time, you can access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its processing, restrict its use, get a copy of it or withdraw your consent. Just write to hello@allyordie.com, and we'll reply within one month at most.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
